Valimail Triples Customer Base, Becomes Top Global DMARC Provider in 2020

Nearly 10,000 customers trust Valimail to achieve complete DMARC visibility, enforcement

SAN FRANCISCO — Dec. 10, 2020 — Valimail, the global leader in zero-trust, identity-based anti-phishing solutions, closed its third quarter on a high note. The company is experiencing momentous growth in 2020, tripling its customer base and boosting talent on the product development team that creates Valimail’s innovative solutions.

Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) in 2020 has been a growth market. Valimail measured a 34% increase in the number of domains worldwide using DMARC year to date, which amounts to a 4X increase from 2017. Since June 2020, Valimail now manages DMARC for more organizations than any other service provider, with 35,000 domains, making it the top DMARC provider globally. Nearly 10,000 customers trust Valimail to help them achieve complete DMARC visibility and enforcement. New customers in 2020 include Yale University, Georgia Office of the State Treasurer, one of the world’s largest multinational media conglomerates, and one of Europe’s largest multinational food brands.

“Valimail lets you get to DMARC reject within months,” said Scott Moore, messaging service manager at Agilent Technologies. “The solution made it easy to stop the risks of unauthorized senders and transform our email to a state of trust, so emails received from our domains are legitimate. It’s also amazing how quick and easy it is to handle new requests for email sending applications using Valimail.”

Valimail also experienced significant partnership growth in 2020, including a deeper relationship with Microsoft. The company is a charter member of the MISA (Microsoft Information Security Alliance), and is the leading provider of DMARC services to Microsoft 365 customers. In addition, Valimail solidified a global reseller partnership with Twilio SendGrid. Hundreds of SendGrid customers use Valimail DMARC Monitor, and joint marketing activities between the two companies are underway.

“Our remarkable growth this year is validation of our vision to automate DMARC management and enforcement. We are helping to drive a more secure and trustworthy email ecosystem,” said Alexander García-Tobar, CEO and co-founder of Valimail. “The momentum we continue to experience is a testament to the dedication and talent of the Valimail team, as well as the trust our amazing customers have vested in us. Our dedicated team and our incredible clients have ensured we are the market share leader, hold the industry leadership positions, and offer the most technically advanced product in the market.”

Valimail’s commitment to and public advocacy around email security has also never been stronger. With team members holding the co-chairmanship of the IETF DMARC Working Group and chairmanship of the AuthIndicators Working Group developing BIMI, among other significant industry positions, Valimail is committed to a world in which we can trust our email. The company published several new pieces of research in 2020 and released a steady stream of product enhancements, including free visibility into all services sending from customers’ domains through Valimail DMARC Monitor and cross-application usability enhancements in Valimail Enforce. The team is hard at work on the next generation approach to automated email authentication that will transform DMARC enforcement, making the process accessible to organizations of all sizes.

To support this product development, the Valimail team recently welcomed Joe Alfaro as vice president of engineering. Alfaro brings significant technical and executive leadership experience to Valimail, having served in roles with Reciprocity, Glow, Sauce Labs and GoDaddy.
