Six months after NCSC retired Mail Check, 9 in 10 of the UK universities and colleges we reviewed still send their DMARC reports to it. For a quarter of them, it was the only place those reports went, so no one can see who is sending email in their name.

Departments, the VLE, admissions platforms and payroll all send as your domain, and almost a quarter of the institutions we reviewed still aren’t at DMARC enforcement. Some only look enforced, because their policy covers less than 100% of mail.
